Unequal Yokes, what?

Unequally Yoked….-T.D. Jakes *
“The Apostle Paul stated in 2 Corinthians 6:14….’Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?’ Why this admonition? Because the faith that we live by is the measurement that we use as a guide, the counselor that we seek in a crisis, and the values that affect us sexually, emotionally, and spiritually. If we are not using the same measurement of faith, problems often become insurmountable because one doesn’t respect the other’s yardstick of beliefs. It creates a dynamic similar to the one you find in a marriage counseling session where one partner comes and the other refuses. While it may be helpful to the one attending, the session cannot restore the wholeness of the marriage without both partners’ participation.”
* I want to point out that I do not believe in everything that T.D. Jakes believes in, mostly the Trinity and his beliefs about baptism. I posted this quote by him, because I think it speaks well into marriage and being one with someone that (if you believe in Christ’s death of the cross) follows in the same beliefs.
